FRAMEZ 2023 DR. KCG VERGHESE MEMORIAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

The School of Media Studies organized FRAMEZ- DR. KCG VERGHESE MEMORIAL SHORT-FILM FESTIVAL on 10th March, 2023. This event provides an opportunity for the upcoming and amateur film directors, writers editors, actors etc., a chance where they can showcase their talent and be recognized for it.

For this year's FRAMEZ, the event had various colleges registering from all over India with each college having their students in every category of the competition. The students submitted their Short-films, Documentaries and PSA/Ads before the day of the event which was reviewed and judged by the designated Juries. The Chief Guest Mr. Dennis Manjunath, Film Director and Jury member Mr. Syed Ibrahim, Film Director, Writer graced the occasion with their presence for the inauguration. Followed by the screening of best-critic films for the students, participants and non-participants. For the valedictory of the event, the Chief Guest as well as a Jury member Mr. Biju V. Don Bosco, Editor, Film Director and Writer graced the occasion.  Director Dr. Susan Verghese, Principal Dr. S. Thirumagan, Deputy Director Academics Dr. V. J. Philip, Vice Principal- Academics & Research Dr. S. Illanjiam felicitated the event. The winners were rewarded with cash prizes worth ₹.60,000 along with certificates and medals. The Jury/Chief guest honored the students with the prizes and participants were also awarded with certificates. The day came to an end with the Mrs. B. Saranya, Head, Department of Visual Communication proposing the vote of thanks.
